"text": "Edwin Hawkins and Singers released \"Oh! Happy Day\" in 1969 on Let Us Go Into the House of the Lord, their fourth album with Buddah Records. \n\nEdwin Hawkins was an American gospel musician, pianist, choir master, composer, and arranger. He was one of the originators of the urban contemporary gospel sound. \n\nAs leader of the Edwin Hawkins Singers, he was probably best known for his arrangement of \"Oh Happy Day.\" \n\nThe wonderful gospel song entered the Hot 100 charts in 1969, becoming the first gospel song to make that chart. This reworking of an eighteenth century hymn made the National Registry of the Library of Congress in 2005: https://www.loc.gov/static/programs/national-recording-preservation-board/documents/EdwinHawkinsEssay.pdf"

This soulful duo is composed of Croatian pianist/vocalist Sara Ester Gredelj and Slovenian drummer Nina Korosak-Sercic. \n\nThe two budding musicians met while studying at the famous Austrian University of Music and Performing Arts Graz [Kunst-Universitat Graz (KUG)]. \n\nSince their debut EP Not Good Enough (2019), they’ve released the album Since Always and Forever (2023) and the EP Good News (2024). These projects explore themes of self-acceptance, love, vulnerability, and optimism, with a sound that shifts between soothing melodies and vibrant grooves.\n\nfreekind. is devoted to creating music that reflects their own evolution and pursuit of inner harmony, while inspiring others to embrace their own journeys of healing and connection. "text": "A Hungarian trio consisting of Bencze Molnár (Rhodes/synth), Viktor Sági (bass) and Tamás Czirják (drums), Jazzbois is part of the rich, underground jam scene in Budapest, and those improvised-led sessions have fed into Still Blunted. One of their late-night jams turned after-parties produced sketches for tracks they selected for the album.\n\n\"It was the end of a wild night celebrating getting the album done. We’re having a jam and we looked around while we were recording and there was twenty people smoking and drinking around us – half of them we didn't even know who they are. It turned into an open after-party where people were coming to ours from the club. It was very spontaneous and unexpectedly, we made five or six new songs we ended up using for the album.\"\n\nFun fact: extraodrinary drummer Tamás Czirják also performs for the sensational makrohang, which Kevin played last week!"
