"text": "What originally started off as a side project, The Breeders became Kim Deal’s main gig following the sudden break up of Pixies (in the most ‘90s move ever, Black Francis informed her of the break up via fax). Joining Deal on lead guitar is twin sister, Kelley. On this, their second album, Breeders offered up the alt-radio staple, ‘Cannonball.’ Following the release of this record, drug and alcohol issues forced the band into hiatus with both sisters doing separate stints in rehab.
