"text": "Táta Vega released \"Givin' All My Love\" on the album of the same name in 1980 with Motown Records.\n\nTáta Vega is a vocalist whose career spans theatre, film and a variety of musical genres.\nShe began her professional singing career in 1969 in California as a cast member in the Los Angeles production of the musical Hair. She then joined the group Pollution, led by Dobie Gray (who also was appearing in Hair) and then became a member of the group Earthquire, who released an album in 1973 on Motown's Natural Resources label.\n\nWith Motown, Táta released four solo albums on the Tamla label: Full Speed Ahead (1976), Totally Táta (1977), Try My Love (1978) and Givin' All My Love (1981). These albums feature a diverse range of genres including classic Motown soul, country/southern soul, disco, jazz, funk, country, Latin, doo-wop and gospel.\n\nShe has had an active career as a back-up singer and soloist, working with Stevie Wonder, Andraé Crouch, Lou Rawls, Chaka Kahn, Patti LaBelle, Michael Jackson and Madonna. She also worked in film, performing the voice of Shug Avery in The Color Purple and is featured on four songs on the 1986 soundtrack album, one of which, Miss Celie's Blues (Sister) was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Song category.\n\nIn 1998 she signed with Quincy Jones’s Quest Records and released a gospel album, Now I See. Vega is also known for her song SEASONS, which is a cover of a song by Japanese superstar Ayumi Hamasaki."

"text": "GQ released \"It's Like That\" with Arista in 1980 on the album Two, the group's second studio album.\n\nGQ was first formed in 1968 as a quartet called Sabu & the Survivors, with \"Sabu\" being a moniker of member Keith Crier. The group then evolved in the 1970s as The Rhythm Makers, playing primarily funk music and were Five Percenters. The Rhythm Makers were composed of Emanuel Rahiem LeBlanc (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Keith \"Sabu\" Crier (bass, vocals, and uncle of Keith Sweat), Herb Lane (keyboards and vocals) and Kenny Banks (drums and vocals). The group released one album, Soul on Your Side in 1976 on the De-Lite Records subsidiary Vigor Records, from which the group had one major international dancefloor hit, \"Zone\". At the time that Kenny Banks was replaced by Paul Service in 1978, the group's manager suggested that the group name be changed to \"GQ\", which stood for \"good quality.\" The group then signed with Arista Records."
