"text": "Award-winning singer, composer and producer Katie McBride is a builder of worlds. From the realms of experimental, electronic, ambient pop, her music crisscrosses dreamscapes and altered mental states, reaching into subterranean currents for deep truths.\n\nMcBride’s biography as an artist began as a trumpeter – picking up the instrument in 5th grade band class and eventually attending Humber College, where she studied jazz and composition. After graduation, she turned to writing and recording music for herself. She soon became obsessed with Ableton, finding it to be an instrument without limitations, and her passion for digital creation bloomed, eventually branching into photography, video, and artwork. https://tinyurl.com/2raar8rt"

"text": "British producer/composer Danny L Harle and Caroline Polachek have been working together since Polachek’s 2019 solo album Pang.\n\nOf this track, Harle on says, \"'Azimuth' felt like the finalisation of an approach that Caroline and I had been orbiting for some time as a way of putting her voice into my music – I sometimes call it the 'trance siren.' You can hear manifestations of it in tracks like 'Insomnia' from Pang and 'On The Beach' from Death Stranding 2, but this was the first time I managed to translate it into my style of dance music. \n\n\"'Azimuth'’s melody could only have been sung by Caroline, it is designed around her voice, I couldn’t imagine anyone else singing it or giving a performance like that. It also allowed us to play with scale, space and quietness in a way I’ve never done before.\n\n\"For me, 'Azimuth' is a trance ballad, despairing but hopeful, best heard in a in club in a sunken cathedral.\" https://tinyurl.com/cmvvstfw"

"text": "Nala Sinephro is a Belgian experimental jazz musician based in London. She is best known for her ambient jazz compositions, where she predominantly plays the pedal harp, modular synthesiser, keyboards, and piano.\n\nSinephro spent her childhood in Belgium, growing up on the outskirts of Brussels, near a forest. Her Belgian mother was a classical piano teacher and her Martiniquan/Guadeloupean father was a jazz saxophonist.\n\nDuring her teenage years, Sinephro developed a tumor in her jaw. The tumor's successful removal influenced a period of hedonistic living, with Sinephro frequenting Brussels-based clubs to seek out hardcore dance music.\n\nInitially interested in becoming a biochemist, Sinephro eventually transferred to an arts-based high school which featured a jazz department. There, she discovered the harp, which she quickly connected with.\n\nIn 2025, Sinephro scored the A24 sports drama film, The Smashing Machine, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. https://tinyurl.com/ybeytvk7"

"text": "The latest solo album from veteran Richmond, VA-based multi-instrumentalist, drummer, DJ, producer, singer, songwriter, and composer Devonne Harris (aka DJ Harrison, also a member of numerous groups including Butcher Brown) does indeed revel in an ‘ElectroSoul’ lane, with an emphasis on the latter, and it's all infused with DJ Harrison’s deep bag of psych, funk, jazz, R&B, and hip-hop touches. A sweet gathering of his friends that includes Yaya Bey, Yazmin Lacey, Angélica Garcia, Kiefer, Fly Anakin, Nigel Hal, Pink Siifu, and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson all swing by to add their own flavor to this heady, groovy, eclectic soul party. -Alex Ruder-"
