"text": "This one's for Bryan!\n\n“Antarctica” tells of someone who wants to feel the cold of winter again, as the place they live is only getting warmer due to climate change. They’re such a fan of the cold that they consider themselves a “polar bear in denial” and head for the coldest continent on planet Earth (side note: polar bears live in the Arctic, not Antarctica, and the band mentioned this factual error on 2024-09-09). Their trip starts out fine as the song’s narrator says that it feels like a new home, but it goes sideways when their plane crashes into the tundra. Leaving the aircraft, they end up freezing to death. https://kglw.net/song/antarctica/about?artist_id=1\n\nHere's King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard performing Live on KEXP in 2022: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb8UMmrBlC8\n\nhttps://kinggizzardandthelizardwizard.com/\nhttps://kinggizzard.bandcamp.com/"

It’s about dropping the mask of self-consciousness and vanity. It was a long journey for me to get out of my own way and I wanted this song to be a rallying cry for that, better late than never. \n--\nSee the official video (Caution: Flashing images!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shmhTOUd8mA"

Publications such as Rolling Stone, People, and Complex noted the song's importance in the protests, calling \"Alright\" the \"unifying soundtrack\" of the movement.\n\nIn an interview with MTV News, Lamar stated that he found inspiration for \"Alright\" while visiting South Africa and witnessing problems that locals faced: \"Their struggle was ten times harder.\" https://tinyurl.com/bp7rv2wf\n\nhttps://oklama.com/"
