He later returned for the band’s blockbuster reunion tour in 1996. The band released some of its most successful albums during Frehley’s tenure, including 1977’s Love Gun and Alive II. Frehley was born and raised in the Bronx and was influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Who, The Rolling Stones, among others. The original four Kiss members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.\n---\nPearl Jam's Mike McCready wrote, \"I would not have picked up a guitar without Ace and KISS's influence. Oakey originally recorded the song as a male solo—but after watching the 1976 musical drama A Star Is Born, he decided to make it a duet with one of The Human League's female vocalists, Susan Ann Sulley.\n---\nIn the UK, it was the best selling song of 1981. In 1982, Human League were nominated for the Grammy for Best New Artist, in great part due to the success of this song. In 2015, “Don’t You Want Me” was voted by the British public as the 7th greatest chart-topper of the 80s."

"text": "Patsy Cline released \"Crazy\" on this day in 1961. The ballad, composed by Willie Nelson.\n\n Willie Nelson wrote the song while living in Houston, working for Pappy Daily's label D Records. He was also a radio DJ and performed in clubs. Nelson then moved to Nashville, Tennessee, working as a writer for Pamper Music. Through Hank Cochran, the song reached Patsy Cline. Cline was thrown through a windshield in a car accident two months before she recorded this (they didn't have seat belts back then). At the first session, she couldn't hit the high notes because of a broken rib, so the studio musicians recorded their parts without her. Two weeks later, she did her vocals while standing on crutches. In 1997, “Crazy” was named the number one jukebox hit of all time."
