"text": "Another 2025 favorite!\n\n'Are We All Angels' is the second studio album by the American hardcore punk band Scowl, released on April 4, 2025, by Dead Oceans. The band recorded the album with producer Will Yip at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. \n\nAn alternative rock, grunge, hardcore punk and pop-punk album, 'Are We All Angels' continues Scowl's departure from their hardcore punk roots established on their 2023 EP, 'Psychic Dance Routine'. Its lyrics deal with grief, alienation, abuse, relationships, self-perception and systems of control, as well as the band's newfound fame and relationship with the hardcore community. "text": "One of my favorite songs (and possibly albums) of 2025!\n--\nfish narc, is the project of multi-artist Ben Funkhouser. His album 'frog song' dropped in February via K Records. Funkhouser discussed the song \"boxy volvo\" saying:\n\n“After five weeks on tour in the Fall 2023, I had built up a lot of ideas that I didn’t really know how to set into motion. Doing music for a living changes your ears, and the streaming format changes the way you categorize and relate to the music you listen to. I wanted to refresh my listening habits and rebuild my library of songs, as well as my guitar and singing chops. I wrote ‘boxy volvo’ that month, while my girlfriend Emma was out of town in New York. I met her in NYC, where she lived at 538 Johnson and drove this old boxy Volvo station wagon with thirty air fresheners on the rearview mirror.
