"text": "Tasha in Ballard\nThat marching band got me last night too! My mom died in April and we sat by her bed and sang her songs as we kept vigil for three days. \"I'll fly away\" was the song I was singing on repeat, since we didn't have much in common in terms of music, but I knew she loved that song. To top it off, my teenager plays trumpet in a brass band and brought his trumpet to the hospital for the musical vigil. What a perfect cathartic follow up to Suzzallo last night too. I wondered which parts would poke me right in the grief, and it was all of it, but especially the last part – the brass band and Suzzallo. Grief needs catharsis, to be discharged, just so we can keep going and do it all again. Thank you."
