"text": "https://littlesimz.com/\n---\nLotus is the sixth studio album by English rapper Little Simz, and features guest appearances from Obongjayar, Moonchild Sanelly, Lydia Kitto, Moses Sumney, Miraa May, Yukimi Nagano, Wretch 32, Cashh, Michael Kiwanuka, Yussef Dayes, and Sampha.\n\nLotus marks the rapper’s departure from longtime collaborator Inflo who produced and co-wrote her last three albums, as well as his wife, singer Cleo Sol who did vocals on these albums.\n\nWhile Little Simz and Inflo had already started the process of recording a new album, they got into a financial conflict, in which she sued him for a total of £1.7 million of loans he allegedly owed her. She scrapped the new albums she had been working on with Inflo and started collaborating with Miles Clinton James (known for producing Kokoroko) on Lotus. \n\nAlthough Inflo is never explicitly mentioned on the album, his conflict with the rapper appears to have had a great influence on the album’s lyrics and atmosphere.\n\nAs Guardian journalist Lanre Bakare puts it, \"Lotus feels like a breakup record of a sort, not romantic but still deeply personal, as the Simz/Inflo partnership is pulled apart and dissected.\" https://tinyurl.com/4kkb776v"

"text": "Antidpressants is Suede's tenth studio album. \n---\n\"So many years have passed since Coming Up, Suede's post-Bernard Butler peak, and a listener can't but help to feel nostalgic for the rush of that record. And while Antidepressants isn't that album, it's got enough of a similar flash and spark to almost fool a fan in 2025. This is a cohesive offering, and one where it feels like the band's at least attempting to scale the same heights as before. There are no points awarded for trying, of course, but they certainly make a respectable showing here. When the world seems like it's falling apart (again), there's still something comforting about the wail of Brett Anderson with the machinery of the Suede attack behind him. Antidepressants is something to be grateful for, especially for those of us looking for reminders of the flame of our youth.\"\n\n-http://www.apessimistisneverdisappointed.com/2025/09/broken-music-for-broken-people-review.html\n\nhttps://antidepressantssuede.bandcamp.com/album/antidepressants"

At age 18, in 1999, she set out for the Northwest, cut her teeth in the riot grrrl scene of Olympia, Washington, and within a few months was one-third of a group that projected a message of acceptance, body positivity, and, yes, soulful, sweaty dancing.\n\nEnjoy this interview that Miss Piggy (!) did with Beth Ditto:\nhttps://www.interviewmagazine.com/music/beth-ditto\n--\nShe has described “We Could Run” as her “U2 song.” The video, directed by Mark Staubach, follows two young girls as they run away together, enjoying the limitlessness of freedom.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6zNcaXdFKE"
