The song was written by Cocteau Twins, and recorded at Rooster Studios in London.\n\nRecorded at Rooster Studios in London, \"Pearly-Dewdrops' Drops\" found its way onto The Spangle Maker, an EP released on 4AD in April 1984. The EP marked the Cocteau Twins' first recording with Simon Raymonde.\n\nReleased as a single on April 2, 1984, \"Pearly-Dewdrops' Drops\" marked Cocteau Twins' debut entry into the UK Singles Chart, reaching #29 – their highest-charting single. Despite its popularity with both fans and critics, guitarist Robin Guthrie later disowned the song. \"'Pearly-Dewdrops' Drops' was a clinical exercise to get on Top Of The Pops,\" he told Mojo magazine in 2011. \"Ivo (Watts- Russell, co-founder of 4AD) had asked for a single, to take us to the next level.\" https://tinyurl.com/ycyrvb2h"

"text": "“Forever Lover (永远的爱人)” is an epic love song that glows with both intimacy and grandeur.\n\nOf the track, Anne shares, \"This song is one of the more romantic love songs we've written. It's inspired by our own love story. Bryce and I first met in high school, we dated for ten years before getting married in 2018. We've now officially been together for over half of our lives. The style of the song is an ode to my lifelong obsession with pop music. I kept asking Bryce to write a song that's more directly pop, and he finally did! It was really fun to work on, and a challenge for him to produce/mix something in this vein.\n\n\"One of the many aspects that I love about this song is its structure. Instead of the standard verse/chorus/verse/chorus, this song introduces a second main melody in the latter half of the song. I love the epic nature of that melody and think it's both beautiful and nostalgic at the same time.\" https://tinyurl.com/ya2m5hxp\n\nHere’s the duo’s full performance live in the KEXP studio last year: https://tinyurl.com/rpr8sv8w"

"text": "The album was recorded at Wilson's former studio in Laurel Canyon and mixed at his new studio in Echo Park.\n\nWilson crafted the album at his former studio, Canyonstereo, in Laurel Canyon between tours, album producer jobs, recording sessions and jams, a period in which Wilson collaborated with the likes of Elvis Costello, Chris Robinson, Phil Lesh, Erykah Badu, and many other notable musicians.\n\nWhile the album was started a few years earlier, Wilson chose not to release Gentle Spirit until 2011. As a result, Gentle Spirit traded among Wilson's friends and family on sharpie-labeled CDRs for several years and in the process, built a large underground following that included many notable musicians, including Jackson Browne, Robbie Robertson and Elvis Costello.\n\nNot until Wilson was introduced to Simon Raymonde and Bella Union, did he decide to officially release the album. https://tinyurl.com/y7etn7tw"
