"text": "Happy Birthday to Robin Guthrie, who turns 63 today!\n\nGuthrie is a Scottish musician, songwriter, composer, record producer and audio engineer, best known as the co-founder of the dream pop band Cocteau Twins. \n\nDuring his career Guthrie has performed guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums and other musical instruments, in addition to programming, sampling and sound processing.\n\nGuthrie grew up in Grangemouth, Scotland. There were musical instruments in his family's home, but he never had any proper musical training. With an interest in electronics and trained as an electrician, Guthrie started to experiment with fuzz boxes and guitar pedals to find an alternative sound for his guitar.\n\nGuthrie and his friend Will Heggie were members of a four-piece band called The Heat, who later released a single under the name The Liberators in 1980. Sumner also co-wrote the tune with the Chemical Brothers pair.\n\nThe music video was directed by Andrew \"W.I.Z.\" Whiston. The clip starring Rosario Dawson, depicts what initially appears to be a protest but turns out to be an advertisement for a fictional Coca-Cola-type beverage.\n\nThe visual turned out to be strangely prophetic when 18 years later Pepsi released a controversial commercial that showed a protest march being stopped by a wall of police.\n\nKendall Jenner then walks forward and hands an officer a Pepsi, who drinks it and smiles, while the crowd cheers. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967).\n\nThe lyrics are a translation of a section of the Tao Te Ching, a sacred Chinese text dating back 2000 years that was written by Lao Tsu, a contemporary of Confucius. \n\nNone of the Beatles played on this track; all the music was recorded by Indian session musicians at the EMI studios in Bombay, India, while Harrison was working on the soundtrack to the movie Wonderwall.\n\nHarrison come up with the tune based on how the lyric made him feel; he took the recording back to England, where his lead vocal was added along with John Lennon and Paul McCartney's backing vocals. Instruments used on this track include harmonium, shehnai, tabla, sarod, and flute.\n\nThe original release was in mono; a stereo version was mixed in 1970 and used on the Past Masters compilation. "text": "Arca, aka Alejandra Ghersi Rodríguez, is a Venezuelan musician and record producer was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and now based in Barcelona, Spain.\nShe initially began releasing music under the name of Nuuro.\n\nAfter attending the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Ghersi first released the EP Baron Libre (2012) under the name Arca and subsequently released the EPs Stretch 1 and Stretch 2; the latter experimented with hip hop and brought her attention from prominent music publications.\n\nArca spoke about Bjork's decision to sing in Spanish on this track. \"Rosalía, who was on the same email thread, was helping a little bit with pronunciation. But I really love the way Björk sings, and there is no right or wrong pronunciation. When she sent me her file for the recording [“Afterwards”], I got goosebumps. I was in disbelief.
