As a senior biochemistry major at the University of Washington, he had received grad school offers from prestigious institutions and part-time TA job offers. In high school, Aidan won a state cross-country title, led a state-ranked soccer team, and served as captain for both sports teams. He was engaged in undergraduate research on non-silicon solar cells and mentored younger chemistry students through the student-led group, the Free Radicals. Surrounded by good friends, a loving family, and supportive research colleagues, Aidan seemed to have a bright future ahead. \n\nHowever, in February, he took his own life. Despite having two quarters remaining, he was awarded his degree posthumously and was second author on a research paper published after his passing. Aidan did not struggle with drugs or alcohol, leaving us confused about his departure. Yet, our overriding feeling is one of gratitude for the two decades we spent knowing, loving, and cherishing this remarkable young man. In honor of Aidan, we celebrate his love for Fleet Foxes.
