But what I have learned is - in grief there is so much love: love from strangers, love from dear friends who hold me up in my most raw and vulnerable moments. \nIn my dad’s last few minutes under hospice, his brain had already shut down but I kept playing his favorite song: What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. His hand shifted and I know he heard his music and felt our presence as he took his last breath. I would be so grateful if you could play his song to remember my amazing and resilient dad, a survivor of war.
